The Air Jordan 7 VII Original OG – Hare Jordan White / Light Silver – True Red were released in August 25, 1991, retailing for $130. They were nicknamed the “Hare Jordans” because of the commercial, which featured cartoon character Bugs Bunny. After being bullied by some jocks on the B-ball court, Bugs strapped on what he called his “Hare Jordans”, and teamed up with “Air Jordan” to skool the four jocks.They feature a white leather upper with what is labeled as “light silver” inserts, along with red trim.The design of the shoe is similar to that of the Nike Air Huarache, with openings around the ankle area, and an inner sock - shoe design which was created to really stick - contour to your foot. They also feature a colorful tongue design.
They feature a white and grey color scheme, along with plenty of red accents. They were dubbed the “Hare” Jordans because of the famous Nike commercial featuring Bugs Bunny, in which Bugs wore the “Hare” Jordan 7’s while Michael Jordan sported the Air Jordan 7 ’s. At the end, they teamed up to take on a team of bullies in a pick up game and well, we can all guess what happened there, right! The tongue may be the most interesting feature, as they consist of orange and green accents, which go back to the whole Bugs Bunny theme, and we all know how much rabbits love carrots!
